Clamp any angle with this jig | How to

Clamp any angle with this jig | How to

today we’re going to share with you guys
a quick tip on how to join two pieces of wood together when they’re at a weird
angle so we did some research found a couple different ways and we’re gonna
combine the ideas and show you here so it’s hard to clamp things together when
they’re not at a ninety degree angle if we clamp here it can slip or can bend
what we’re gonna do is give two parallel surfaces for the clamp to hold on to one
on this side of our angle and one on this side so you get the jig we came up
with this is gonna go on the inside of the angle these are gonna go on the
outside of the angle this third piece will hold these two together and allow
us something to clamp against the reasoner there’s a space there and so
just going like this is because we don’t want any force on this corner will link
below to the two Instructables we pulled inspiration from start by placing the
pieces you want to join over your scrap wood so that the corner is in the open
space then trace along the edges so you’re left with this this mess if
there’s one piece you’d have to use a jigsaw or bandsaw which doesn’t leave
the straightest lines since there’s a straight cut so you can use any straight
cutting saw we should work we tested it to get the
spacing right and then we attach the bottom piece to the two separate pieces how many moments of truth out there good
Wow the only way to properly explain this is by taking you around super-nice hope you guys liked this tip
we think it works super well but if you all know any other tips for clamping odd
angles definitely let us know in the comments bye bye yeah you don’t want it
yeah
