Part 5 – Astro Discussions with Sunil Pandey – Final (with English Subtitles)

Intro Music. I have seen lots of kundalis with Mangal Yoga but I never noticed that solely because of Mars anyone had major problems in married life. However, if Rahu and Ketu are in the 7th house then indeed problems are observed. Further, if 7th lord, in case of women, Jupiter and in case of men, Venus is also afflicted/poorly placed etc and Rahu and Ketu are present then problems could arise. But, if Jupiter, for women, and Venus for men and the 7th Lord are alright then the problems aren’t severe. Infact Rahu/Ketu appear to be causing bigger problems here. 2 marriages have been observed too. Also, if Saturn is in 7th then although the couples don’t break up but do have a lot of fights. So Mars isn’t to be blamed in my experience. SJ: I wish to ask about marriages, which transits you have noticed that can impart marriage? SP: If Saturn and Jupiter are aspecting 7th house or 7th Lord and the person is of a marriageable age then marriage surely happens. Vibhor: 7th from the moon or from the birth Ascendant? SP: From birth Ascendant. So Saturn aspecting 7th house/lord can give marriage. High probability. Or the Dasha should be of the 7th lord or of the plant sitting in the 7th house. While calculating marriage time I have often noticed then when Rahu/Ketu’s Dasha, Antardasha or Pratyantardasha comes that too often results into marriage. Rahu/Ketu may or maynot be sitting in the house or aspecting it but it is my observation that their D, AD and PD result into marriages. SJ: Any easy method of finding out the year of marriage? SP: There is a method: Add the Rashi (Zodiac) number and the Degrees of the Lagna Lord and 7th Lord. If it is more than 12 then reduce 12 from it. SJ: Can you please give an example of it?
Any example from any kundali. SP: For e.g. Assuming it is Taurus Lagna, so Lagna Lord is Venus and 7th Lord is Mars. So writing down Rashi, Degree, Minutes and Seconds so Rashi is 2 Here number 2 means that Venus has crossed two Rashi’s and hence is in Gemini so we write 2 Rashi 20 Degrees 25 Minutes and 35 seconds. Similarly for 7th lord Mars: Assuming Mars is in Pisces so it has crossed 11 Rashis and is 10 degrees 5 minutes and 26 seconds. Adding it up: 2:20:25:35″ + 11:10:5:26″=13:30:31:1. As it is more than 12 so subtract 12. That gives 1 i.e. after 1st Rashi is past so that is Taurus. I have noticed that when Jupiter transits over Taurus then there is high probability of marriage. SJ: I will show it to the camera We can ballpark firstly other factors like late/early marriage etc and then notice the transit of Jupiter over the concerned Rashi before determining marriage. SP: As I understand Jyotish is remedial in nature and is highly subjective and dynamic. There are two many variables affecting an outcome. As in BPHS, Parashar Rishi states that even Maharishi Vashisth and Brihaspati are unable to decipher the tides of happiness or sadness so could be expected of Jyotishis of Kalyug. So the predictive side of Jyotish is subjective but the mathematical side of it is determined. A Solar or Lunar eclipse or the rise and setting of Sun at a certain place is already determined. The predictive portion is highly influenced by Place, Time and Environment. Two children born in the same hospital and at the same time live different fates. But the parents of the 1st child take him home in their own car whereas the other child is taken home in an hand pulled cart so surely there are variation despite the similarities. Classical books state that if two Grahas are strong in ‘Shadbala’ or in ‘Shadvarga’ then such a child born in a king’s family would become a king. If not born in royalty then he would be a high officer and successful. So these factors should always be kept in mind. A Jyotishi should be an ascetic to understand this. Acharya Varamihir has enumerated 20 qualities of a Jyotishi. Only then accurate predictions could be made. Vibhor: You once mentioned that Venus is exalted in Pisces in Mercury’s nakshatra so if is someone is passing through Venus Dasha then when would that person get the best results from Venus? SP: When I started jyotish I met people to whom some Jyotishi told to eat well so their Venus would get even stronger in exalted Venus Dasha. I explained that Jyotish is founded on the principals of Karma Venus is exalted in Pisces under Mercury Nakshatra, the logic is Pisces is Jupiter’s Rashi And Jupiter is Satvic in nature And Mercury is symbolic of conscience/discretion/sense while Venus represents consumption It therefore implies that if we consume in a Satvic manner with discretion and sensibly only then we could enjoy material wealth in a better manner i.e. Venus would be able to impart it’s results. For e.g Chandra, a satvic planet, gets exalted in the nakshatra of the Sun (krittika) in the Rashi of Venus. so it implies that as Moon is Mind/Mood and it exalts under Sun i.e. Soul and Venus i.e. Consumption, it means that mind works best when it has a balance of Soul and Pleasures. SJ: One should have self control over pleasures. Vibhor: Can it be said that someone undergoing Moon Dasha should live like this so he may have the best of this dasha? SP: Yes, this is the purpose of jyotish but things are a bit different these days the purpose is, see, if I do bad then bad must follow and if I do good then goodness must be delivered. It may be delayed, delay because we have older karma to fulfill too. Life is infinite and this life is a link in this chain. Maharishi Agastya has wisely said that in this life the equation of wins and loses is very strange, interesting and exciting. The stronger one is always the winner and the loser is always the weaker one. But if the winner behaves indignantly then he loses in time as a loser and if the loser behaves morally and graciously then he enjoys the win in future therefore O Humans, practice austerities and earn strength so you may remain safe and secure in this world What I intend to say that is all of this is dependent on our karma. SJ: Sir, as you mentioned about the Moon, suppose Moon is debilitated and its Dasha is running so if a person is seeking good results, please advise about the debilitation etc. SP: See, Moon is debilitated in Scorpion Rashi. As it is exalted at 3 degrees so it gets debilitated at 3 degrees See, I have noticed that if lot of Grahas are Exalted in a person’s kundali then he may get egotistic because he gets success quite easily. and if the planets are debilitated then although one struggles a lot but there is no ego. So a lot of people due to fate become successful but are unable to sustain it. So a debilitated planet is not necessarily bad as the person struggles his way through in this world and thus achieves spirituality. They know pain and suffering. They become unstoppable after their trials and tribulations. SJ: Any simple remedies for people outside India as often remedies like feeding cow etc aren’t possible for them? SP: Excellent question, See, Chanting and Austerity removes the blockades holding us back. I suggest “Om’ and ‘Gayatri’ for that. and opportunity can be created by doing charity but those who cannot do this or even those who can should know this Sun represents your father, Moon is mother, Mars is brother, Mercury is extended family, sisters, nieces and nephews, Jupiter is teachers, children, husband for women Venus is one’s wife and Saturn is the helpers at home and office, Rahu is paternal grandparents and Ketu is maternal grandparents. So if we take care and respect our family then our 9 planets would get pleased anyways. No matter where you reside I only request you that you do your duty to your family and society and if you can do anything else easily nearby Charity begins at home, in family near and far you will find needy people struggling for money for education, marriage, health etc so help them.
