Real Reason Behind Kurt Angle WWE Raw Storyline REVEALED? | WrestleTalk News July 2017

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News! I’m Oli Davis
Happy Anniversary, Kurt Angle! Kurt Angle finally revealed the mystery that
could ruin him on this week’s Raw: American Alpha wrestler Jason Jordan is his illegitimate
son. A son that Kurt’s ignored for 28 years already,
so why change now? – as yesterday’s Instagram post made clear. “Thx to my 5 beautiful children for our
5th Anniversary Wedding cake.” Six beautiful children now, Angle. You’re exposing the business. Angle/Jordan Storyline Details
We can somewhat forgive Kurt for forgetting, though, with the Wrestling Observer Newsletter
revealing Jordan “was only told about the angle last week, and there had actually been
hints given that American Alpha would be getting a new storyline on Smackdown.” Many thought the spot would go to Jordan’s
American Alpha tag team partner Chad Gable – as he’s the better worker and talker – but
Meltzer speculates, in addition to the size difference, WWE thought Jason would be the
bigger surprise because of the interracial element, and that it was “probably at least
partially a rib on Angle’s known past for dating African American women” – which had
previously been used a decade prior, when Kurt used to lust after Sharmell in his feud
with Booker T. The Wrestling Observer continues to speculate
on an Angle in-ring return, suggesting the Jason Jordan reveal could led to Kurt wrestling
again, first teaming with Jordan, and then feuding with him when Jason inevitably turns
heel. Pro Wrestling Sheet have reported, however,
the storyline is more to build Jordan up as a solid mid-card act on Raw, and “his relationship
with Kurt will grow as the Olympic athlete tries to be a father figure for Jason.” The Dirty Sheets point out this is because
WWE has no plans for Kurt to return to the ring, and that the Jordan storyline is actually
a way to keep him from wrestling again rather than to foreshadow his in-ring return. Apparently, original plans called for Angle
to face Seth Rollins at Survivor Series to tie-in with the WWE 2K18 video game promotion. Top Ex-ROH Star To WWE
In the last few months of last year, a behind-the-scenes WWE talent raid of Ring of Honor was rumoured,
with commentators Nigel McGuinness and Steve Corino jumping ship. A number of high-profile ROH wrestlers were
reported to follow, including Bobby Fish, then-ROH Champion Kyle O’Reilly, multi-time
ROH Champion Adam Cole and 2015’s Top Prospect Tournament winner Donovan Dijak. But then, despite O’Reilly hastily dropping
the ROH title to Cole on a New Japan show, four days after his contract expired, the
moves found themselves stuck in limbo. O’Reilly and Dijak disappeared into the
indies, while Cole and Fish continued appearing for ROH. This was because WWE reportedly pulled their
offers after legal threats from Ring of Honor over contract tampering. That was back in January, and now, six months
later, the moves appear to be back on. RedDragon teammates Fish and O’Reilly have
already debuted for WWE at NXT tapings, both losing to Aleister Black in singles matches,
and now Dijak has all but confirmed he’s following them to developmental – telling
the New Age Insiders podcast his next month of dates will be his last indie shows. The next big NXT event is August 19th’s
TakeOver: Brooklyn III, the night before Summerslam, where Dijak could either be set for the standard
‘look who’s watching at ringside’ camera shot, or the following week’s NXT TV tapings. The only name left to move is arguably the
most exciting: the first ever three time ROH World Champion Adam Cole, bay-bay. John Cena has said his WWE days are numbered. And will WWE release Paige following her latest
scandal? Click the videos to the left to find out more,
